When an MCB breaks high short-circuit currents (up to 10kA at 400V), electric arcing creates localized temperatures exceeding 6,000°C. OFA miniature circuit breakers utilize a multi-grid arc splitter chute featuring 12 to 15 de-ionizing steel plates.
